The Backcountry Hut Company - Gambier Island, BC
Design - The Backcountry Hut Company
Build - Bluewater Concepts

This Backcountry Hut Company cabin on Gambier Island is a compact coastal retreat overlooking Howe Sound. The prefabricated structure uses a modular timber frame and panelized building system, allowing it to be assembled efficiently while minimizing impact on the surrounding landscape.

Set within the forested terrain of the Gulf Islands, the cabin emphasizes simplicity, durable materials, and strong connections to the coastal environment. This architectural photography series documents how the small-scale architecture engages the dramatic landscape and natural light of the Howe Sound region.
