Russell Dalby is an award winning professional photographer based in Squamish, British Columbia. He began working in action sports and quickly moved to incorporate architectural, documentary, and aerial photography to his repertoire. Each style informs the other and this skill set helps him to create photographs that tell stories. 

Dalby is interested in the relationship between his subjects and their environment, and his photographs portray them in a clean and thoughtful way. Russell draws inspiration from the nuance and unique character of each subject, and brings his insight and attention to detail to every shoot. 

With almost 20 years experience, Russell thoughtfully considers time-of-day and season, in order to get the best light, and is well equipped with artificial light for those times when nature doesn’t cooperate.
